The Ray Goodgame Outstanding Student Leader Award, presented by the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, honors students in the South Lake area, who like Ray, serve as a champion for our community. It is our pleasure to present the award virtually to Kendyl Cardwell of Montverde Academy.

Kendyl is an honor and AP student that holds a GPA of 4.41. She is a member of the Distinguished Scholars Program, Headmaster Leadership Institute, Math Club and is the founder of the newspaper club. She is also a National Merit Semifinalist, AP Scholar with Distinction and the recipient of the Highest GPA Award.

Outside of academics, Kendyl is a three time medalist, distance team captain and MVP for track and field and cross country. She is also the recipient of the Eagle Leadership Award for track and field and cross country.

In her free time, Kendyl serves as the Run Reporter for local nonprofit,  parkrun, and submits articles regularly to the South Lake Tablet.
