Alan Hays, Lake County Supervisor of Elections, announces polling place changes which will be in effect for the General Election scheduled for November 3rd. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

The following outlines the specific precincts and polling places which were impacted by the changes:

PRECINCT: 17
NEW LOCATION NAME & ADDRESS:  Town of Astatula (New) Community Center, 13251 Park Ave., Astatula, FL 34705
PRIOR POLLING PLACE: Community Building Next to City Hall

PRECINCT: 76
NEW LOCATION NAME & ADDRESS:  Lakeview Terrace – Living Well Center, 201 Clubhouse Vista Rd., Altoona, FL 34748
PRIOR POLLING PLACE: Lakeview Terrace Community Building Multipurpose Room

Voters are required to vote at their assigned precinct on Election Day. Voters impacted by these precinct/polling location changes were mailed updated voter information cards denoting their new polling place location. Voters are encouraged to visit the Lake County Supervisor of Elections website, www.LakeVotes.com, and click on the Where to Vote tab on the homepage or call 352.343.9734 for up-to-date precinct and polling location information. On Election Day, November 3rd, signage will be posted at the old polling locations directing voters to the new locations.

“We take it very seriously when considering updating Election Day precinct and polling locations. Our goal is for all eligible voters in Lake County to have a positive voting experience, whether they are voting by mail, at an Early Voting site, or at their assigned precinct on Election Day,” Hays commented.

In addition to polling places changes effective for Election Day, there have been some additions to the Early Voting sites. Voters may choose to vote at any one of the twelve Early Voting locations throughout Lake County during the Early Voting period. Early Voting continues through October 31st. Sites are open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily. The two newest Early Voting sites include:

1. The Clermont Arts and Recreation Center, 3700 S. US HWY 27 in Clermont
2. Sorrento Early Voting Site (Formerly The Sorrento Hardware Store), 24019 S.R. 46 in Sorrento
