The FAITH Neighborhood Center was founded in 1972 and has been in continuous operation since that time feeding 1350 families (5000 individuals) each month. The Center’s growth includes more than 100 active, dedicated volunteers who allow them to keep the costs of running the Center with a small part-time staff as low as possible.

The Center provides support to low-income families and individuals in South Lake County – Mascotte, Groveland, Clermont, Minneola, Montverde, and points in between and south to the county line.

The Center offers several types of assistance, including:

• Food
• Medical support in conjunction with the South Lake Community Health Center
• Educational/Training opportunities
• Assistance in applying for food stamps, Medicaid and Emergency Assistance

To support this great organization, the Chamber encourages you to consider donating funds, your time, or food. Additionally, please consider supporting their annual golf tournament that will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at Green Valley County Club with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The $100 entry fee includes green and cart fees, breakfast sandwich and coffee bar as well as a buffet lunch.
