Get ready for a Holiday in Paradise at this year’s Light Up Clermont.

Mark your calendars for a weekend of fun starting 5:30-9 p.m. Dec. 6 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 7 in Downtown Clermont, followed by a free concert at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Clermont Performing Arts Center.

“Light Up Clermont is one of our biggest annual events,” City manager Darren Gray said. “We’re excited too for families and friends to gather and make holiday memories together.”

The free, family-friendly event features the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony led by Mayor Gail Ash at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6. The festivities Dec. 7 will start with the Hometown Holiday Parade at 10 a.m.

To top off the weekend, the free Lessons and Carols concert by Montverde Academy will be at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Clermont Performing Arts Center, 3700 S. Highway 27.

Dec. 6 also will include holiday music played by a live band on the main stage, DJ music and dancing at the community stage, Santa’s Little Flippers performance, family food trucks, bounce houses and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus provided by Kiwanis Club of South Lake.

Following the Dec. 7 parade, be sure to stick around downtown and enjoy crafts, food, music and community entertainment.
