On Jan. 17 Hunter Tierman of Lake Minneola High School was awarded the Ray Goodgame Outstanding Student Leader Award. The $1,000 award honors students in the South Lake area, who like its namesake, serve as a champion for our community.

Hunter is a dual-enrolled AP and honor student that currently holds a GPA of 4.6. Outside of his extensive course load, Hunter also serves on the yearbook club, and as an assistant in the guidance department, attendance department and science department.

Hunter has been named student of the month in 2018 and 2019 as has been named Summa Cum Laude every year since 2017.

If that doesn’t sound like a lot, he also works 20 hours a week at PDQ.
