The Florida Department of Health – Lake County has announced that the Amazon Distribution Site located at 7453 Republic Drive in Groveland will permanently deactivate at close of business Friday, April 2, at 1 p.m. The final hours of operation for the week of March 29 – April 2, 2021 will be Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Wednesday, March 31, the Amazon Distribution Site will operate for extended hours until 7 p.m.

Vaccinations, to include first and second doses, will continue to be administered drive-thru distribution style on a first come, first serve basis. Schedules are based on vaccine availability. Dates and times are subject to change.

Recipient eligibility to receive the vaccine has expanded to include all individuals 40 years of age or older, health care personnel with direct patient contact, long-term care facility residents and staff and individuals under 40 years of age who are considered medically vulnerable by a physician.

Eligible participants are required to present a valid Florida driver’s license or a copy of a valid Florida Identification Card for proof of Florida residency. To view a complete list of acceptable identification, visit lake.floridahealth.gov. Face masks are required when visiting the vaccination site.

Those receiving their first dose at the Amazon Distribution Site will be given a card containing the address to their second dose vaccination site located at 560 W. Desoto Street in Clermont. Eligible recipients for the second dose will be contacted 48 hours prior to their due date by the Florida Department of Health with a date and time.
