CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF) and Lake Technical College will host free coding and construction classes for teens ages 16-19 this summer.

Young adults will have the opportunity to learn about coding and construction during the four-week summer program. Participants will receive hands-on experience on high-demand skills, and stipends while earning industry certifications and technical milestones.

Coding: Students will learn how to set up and use different components in website development including Raspberry Pi, basics of HTML and CSS.

Construction: Students will be introduced to various topics including basic safety, construction math, hand and power tools, construction drawings, building materials and more while working on carpentry projects.

In-person classes start June 21, 2021, at Lake Technical College (2001 Kurt St., Eustis, FL 32726). Registration is now open at: CareerSourceCentralFlorida.com/Summer-Youth.

CSCF’s Summer Youth Program, Explore, Experience and Accelerate tracks help young adults in high school (ages 15-19) gain exposure to college experiences and multiple career paths in high growth industries, professional internships, and take part in specialized career training.
