Former NFL quarterback, two-time national champion, Heisman Trophy winner and philanthropist Tim Tebow will headline the 5^th Annual Dreamplex Gala and Auction September 30, 2017 to benefit the Central Florida Dreamplex.

Hosted by Orlando Sentinel sports columnist George Diaz, the gala will feature an extensive silent auction, spirited cocktail hour, plated dinner by award winning Renaissance Catering, live entertainment, dancing, and much more.  The black tie-optional event, “Get in the Game,” is being presented by AmeriGas.

The Central Florida Dreamplex, currently located in the Clermont Hillside Terrace plaza, provides a variety of opportunities for children and adults with special needs. The 5,000 square foot facility has adaptive exercise equipment, classes in activities ranging from hip hop to Tae Kwon Do, special events such as dances and Parents Night Out, and sports clinics for basketball, flag football, and soccer. Join our mission of strengthening the entire Central Florida community by promoting the lifelong health of children, adults, and veterans with physical and/or developmental disabilities with the construction of Phase II of the Central Florida Dreamplex.

A 150,000 square foot facility, being planned for Wellness Way just south of Clermont, will have an aquatic center, indoor basketball/volleyball courts, an ice skating rink and a myriad of other offerings. Therapy and rehabilitation services will also be available for pediatrics, geriatrics, disabled veterans and athletes.

Tebow, through the Tim Tebow Foundation, supports a variety of philanthropic causes that mirror the Dreamplex’s mission to provide fitness, therapeutic, recreational and social opportunities for those with special needs.

Tebow was a two-time NCAA national football champion while at the University of Florida, a first round NFL draft pick, and a Heisman Trophy winner. He recently signed with the New York Mets and is attempting to join an elite class of athletes who have succeeded at the highest level in two professional sports.

He also currently serves as a college football analyst for the SEC Network. Prior to joining the SEC Network, Tebow played three years in the NFL for the Denver Broncos, New York Jets and New England Patriots.

In 2011, Tebow was the first quarterback featured in ESPN’s “Year of the Quarterback” series. He later released Through My Eyes, which was named the No. 1 sports book of 2011 and the best-selling religion book of 2011. In 2016, Tebow released Shaken: Discovering Your True Identity in the Midst of Life’s Storms. Tebow also contributes to a variety of ESPN platforms, including Sports Center, ESPN radio, and the network’s Heisman Trophy coverage.
