On Friday, Oct. 4, 35 participating Panera bakery-cafes in the Orlando area will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from each Pink Ribbon Bagel sold to Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center.  Additionally, .25¢ from every Pink Ribbon Bagel sold and all proceeds collected in the Operation Dough-Nation Community Breadboxes throughout the month of October will also benefit the Cancer Center.

Shaped in the form of the iconic pink ribbon, the Pink Ribbon Bagel features cherry chips, dried cherries, cranberries, vanilla, honey and brown sugar, and is baked fresh every morning by Panera’s bakers at every bakery-café.  Bagels are available to pre-order online at www.paneraflorida.com for pick-up at a convenient location of your choice. Simply click on the link, select your participating bakery-cafe with a pickup time and Panera will have your Pink Ribbon Bagel order ready to go on Oct. 4.

Since 2004, Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center has been the recipient of the Panera Goes Pink campaign.  Locally, Panera Bread has donated over $345,000 to the cancer center through Panera Goes Pink and the Operation Dough-Nation Community Breadboxes.

“We are excited to team up with Orlando Health UF Health Cancer Center again this year to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer preventative resources,” said Kevin Ricci, owner of Covelli Family Limited Partnership, a franchisee of Panera, LLC.  “Visiting our bakery-cafes on Friday, Oct. 4 to purchase a Pink Ribbon Bagel is an impactful way that our Central Florida community can get involved in a great cause.”

Nationwide, over the course of 18 years, Panera has sold over 17 million bagels and donated over $3 million to breast cancer organizations across the country.
