There’s little doubt that the coronavirus is leaving restaurants reeling from the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, restaurant reservations and walk-ins were down 48 percent on March 15 from what they were one year ago, according to data from OpenTable, a restaurant reservation website.

Restaurants throughout Lake, Sumter and The Villages are also feeling the devastating effects. That’s why Style Magazine, which has always been an ardent supporter of our local dining establishments, is conducting a drawing and offering three months of free advertising to 12 local restaurants. The free ads will appear in the dining section in the May, June and July issues.

“Many restaurants have supported Style Magazine throughout the years, and we wanted to return the favor by helping them get through these difficult times,” says Kendra Akers, publisher of Style Magazine.

“Everybody in the restaurant industry—from owners and managers to waiters and waitresses—work extremely hard to make an honest living. We feel it is our obligation to do whatever it takes to make sure they can continue paying their bills and maintain their livelihoods.”
