Celebrating and actively representing the South Lake community is a guiding principle of the Lake Minneola High School Bands Program. On August 19th, the band proudly participated in the annual First Responders Appreciation Breakfast at the Clermont Performing Arts Center. As Clermont Police Chief Charles Broadway declared, the LMHS Band kicked off the event “in style” by playing an entertaining selection of songs to energize the crowd. The program is under the direction of Mr. Brantley West.

In totality, LMHS Bands Program has seven award-winning performing groups: Two jazz bands, two concert bands, a marching band, percussion ensemble, and a competitive winter guard program that won the 2022 state championship. Over 100 LMHS students participate in one or more of these performing groups. In addition to playing at numerous formal school functions and competitions, they also perform in community events such as Pig on the Pond and Light Up Clermont.

The LMHS Bands Program is always thankful for the support our local community to help sustain and keep it performing at an elite level. Direct support from our local businesses helps provide critical funding for new instruments and uniforms, music, choreography, supply needs for show development, and so much more.    If you are interested in learning more about how to sponsor the program for the 2022-2023 school year, please contact Jeff Hickman at VicePresident@LMHSBands.com.
