Dec. 3 the Lake County Board of County Commissioners hosted the annual State of the County presentation in the County Commission Chambers of the Lake County Administration Building, located at 315 W. Main St., Tavares.

This year’s theme, “Lake County on the Move,” highlighted the County’s 2019 achievements, such as the start of construction on a new animal shelter, the opening of Citrus Grove Road, and a new partnership with Kroger and Ocado to build a 350,000-square-foot customer fulfillment center.

The State of the County program also included the induction of the late Kyleen Jane Fischer into the Women’s Hall of Fame.
