Lake 100 is pleased to announce Friends of Lake County Trails Chairman Mike Stephens has earned statewide recognition for his leadership.
The Florida Bicycle Association has selected Stephens as their “2020 Trails Promoter of the Year”, noting his efforts on behalf of Friends of Lake County Trails and bicyclists across the state are helping to shape the vision of bicycling to be safe, accepted and encouraged in Florida. The Florida Bicycle Association will announce all of its 2020 award recipients on March 1, 2021, to kick off Florida Bicycle Month.
Lake 100 is home to the Friends of Lake County Trails advocacy initiative and is the leading voice for promoting the economic benefits of a connected trails system in Lake County. The countywide trails effort was launched in November 2019, with Mike Stephens assuming the role of Chair.
“The Lake 100 organization is proud of Mike and his commitment to further trails and their potential for immense economic impact in Lake County,” said Lake 100 President Tim Sullivan. “This statewide award from the Florida Bicycle Association proves we are on the right track with our vision, and Mike is the leader we need.”
