If you like TED talks, you’ll love TEDxLSSCSalon events held both virtually and live at Lake-Sumter State College and via Zoom. The upcoming February 11th event is focused on mental health and education.
Featured speakers include Dr. Candice Jones, board-certified pediatrician from Orlando and award-winning health advocate will speak on Breaking the Cycle of Generational Trauma. Lauren Parker, Licensed School Psychologist from Central Florida Psychologists specializing in mental health and social-emotional learning, will speak on the links between Mental Health & Academic Achievement.
At TEDx Salons, attendees listen to live speakers and participate in activities to discuss and reflect on what they are learning. Salons focus on a particular them and are an exciting way to engage with your community and hear more “Ideas Worth Spreading” which is the TED organization’s slogan.
You can either participate virtually or be a part of our LIVE studio audience in the Paul P. Williams Auditorium during event streaming.
