The Clermont Performing Arts Center’s 2021 season continues this April with performances that will have you laughing and singing along. Seating capacity for the shows will be around 50% occupancy to allow for adequate social distancing and extra measures will be taken to ensure a safe experience for all guests.
Take a journey back in time when rock was king and relive rock’s greatest hits with The Hit Men on Apr. 3 at 7:30 p.m. The Hit Men are comprised of the real guys who performed with legendary artists including members of Foreigner, Journey, Styx, The Hooters, Steely Dan, Cheap Trick, The Rascals, Alan Parsons, 3 Dog Night, Cream, Grand Funk, and The Who. With backstage stories, multi-media and top-of-the-charts classic rock hits from so many different rock legends, a performance by The Hit Men is like being at 10 concerts in one show.
Join Peabody and Emmy Award winner Charlie Grinker on Apr. 9 at 2 p.m. for “You Are Still There: Music – The Soundtrack of Our Lives” as he retells the life and times of legendary composers, lyricists and performers, blended with their unforgettable music.
Come back for the laughs at the Black Box Theater on Apr. 9 at 8 p.m. Headliner Casey Peruski was invited to audition for NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” appeared in the Comedy Central “Contest Up Next,” Comedy Central South Beach Festival Finalist, Florida’s Funniest Finalist and seen on the award-winning web series “Labor Days.”
Finally, prepare ye for the timeless tale of friendship, loyalty and love based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew. The Moonlight Players Theater production of “Godspell” follows a small group of people who help Jesus Christ tell different parables in a new age through games, storytelling and a heavy dose of tomfoolery. Performances are on Apr. 16 at 8 p.m., Apr. 17 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Apr. 18 at 3 p.m.
